Ignition switch replacement DIY?

Hi guys

So pretty sure my ignition switch is playing up. Nothing serious but thinking about having a go at it myself. Any DIY around for an A3 8P? Tried the search and the net but no luck. I understand its pretty common so hoping someone can direct me to one. Much appreciated.

Just be careful as your immo coil is integrated into that & of course need to make sure the internal parts match the key.

Immo coil? Not sure what that is. From doing some reading and checking parts it seems I need to replace the puck that sits behind the ignition key. So it's not the ignition barrel but the bit that receives the signal. Here is a link to that part. Am I correct?

Hi NCRAW. were you successful with replacing the ignition switch? Mine needs replacing and considering DIY.
