Right lads (and lasses if there are any in here) we really need to sort out a meet.

I'd be up for a socail gathering, or even a wee blast in the sticks. We may as well fit one in before winter settles upon us and makes predicting weekend weather more difficult for planning.

So, lets lay out our ideas/likes/dislikes and we can go from there.

Suggest The Crook Inn just North of Tweedsmuir on the A701. Excellent road whichever direction you come from. Friday/ Saturday night or Sunday lunchtime is gone for me. Preferably in a couple of weeks time as I'll have my new tyres by then! Alternatively the cafe at St. Mary's loch on the A708. Road isn't so good but scenery is allegedly "best road in Britain" in a survey last year.

Easy enough done for me. Bit of a distance for anyone not living in the central belt though.

Personally I think the best road in Britain is the Glenshee to Braemar road (A93). Or the Braemar to Tomintoul road (A939). Only ever seen one rozzermobile and you can see the road ahead for miles.:racer::rockwoot::racer:

well there seems to be allot of guys from Aberdeen area here so middle ground would be good for meet up....yeah?? A9 country House of Bruar?

Dates October Holidays?

Ideas of what to do: meet up go for a blast go to a restaurant come watering hole then get something to eat then blast some more then home

Cheers

Steve

Yeah I am up for this. We got a provisional date?

How about Saturday the 16th of October?

Dunkeld? Not that far north. I'm sure we can grab a cheeky little bite to eat and socialise. Those that want to go for a run on the wagons can, there are some great roads in the area.

Crieff is another idea.

Can everyone post the dates they'd like to attend?

Crieff is real good for me as i live there...........:whistle2:

if you wanted we could meet up at my work allot of car clubs do this ...http://www.famousgrouse.co.uk/experience/default.html book the car park

could arrange a tour if there was enough of us at a very good price plus bacon rolls?..then take a spin up to Dunkeld /Bruar

^ Sounds good to me.

15-09 @ 11.00 at the Famous Grouse Experience. I think meeting up, talking nonsense and a wee blast would be a good starting point for the day. :yum:

Get your name added to the list above people! :icon_thumright:

Where in Crieff do you live Rev? I stayed there for a couple of years before moving to Dundee at the start of this year.

Sorry lads not going to make it now.

I can't come. Got another thing I need to go to. Will come to the next one though. Hopefully with something other than the A2.

Not going to know if I can come until Friday :(

So... expect me if you see me, but hopefully I can come to the next one.

I know the car says white on your profile .....thought it was blue?

What time are we calling it on Sunday lads?

Also, anyone setting off Glasgow fancy meeting up for some convoy/cat & mouse action on the way up? :racer:

Will keep a eye out for it ..........will look forward to seeing under the bonnet of the Astra.......... what Turbo are you running?

11am good for everyone

11Am sounds doable.

I'll need to mind the shandies on Saturday night though.

If anyone is making their way up from the Glasgow area, I'll be doing the same, turning off for Braco and heading for Comrie just to have a wee blast on the way up. :icon_thumright:

Audi KKK24 with KKK26 internals. rated to 400PS.

Not a problem just a standard looking Vauxhall turbo engine from a Calibra with some trick bits ;)

I have a K26 in my Cupboard and K24 on the car but was told it was not possible to marry the both of them ...i.e Hotside off one and cold off other due to spindle shaft.....was told that i would need RS2 Turbo set up to get the performance figures that i was looking for

Is your Turbo some sort of Hybrid set up ?

Cheers

Hybrid it is i am sure it is RS2 parts but not sure. The housing has been modified to take the uprated parts.

Is the K26 Not just a bolt on to the k24 manifold?

I have a K26 from a 944 and a K24 from a S2 somewhere.

Craig

Cheers lads. It's nice to be able to put some faces to the names.

Nice to open her up a little too

Ahh frustration, a trip around a distillery with free samples when everyone is driving. Thanks for organising that it was worth a look around. Craig I wish I had your ability and the time to modify something like that Astra, the craic from doing people on the motorway must be brilliant.
Trust you enjoyed your blip up to Craill(?), I managed to get to Hamilton sensibly before a 320d tried it on and that was the end of that.
Please post the name and number of the man in Inverkeithing that was recommended for all things connected with servicing and tuning, I have a 40,000mile service coming up with a cambelt change not far behind.
