Has anyone had expereince with ice build up in the fender wells of an '01 A4 Avant Quattro wagon? (2.8, 6 cyl, auto) After driving in the snow, i park it, the next morning the snow is ice and I have to take a pick to it. It seems like it needs more ground clearance.

what do you mean fender wells? Areyou saying that ice bypass' the rubber inner fender liners?

No. Snow is thrown up off of the tires and starts sticking to the inner fender. If the snow build up is heavy, it fills up much of the space between the tire and the inner fender. In the morning, the snow often turns to ice and I'm afraid if I don't break it loose first by hand it may do damage to the car.

maybe you should consider parking her inthe garage next time. I don't think you are going to harm her at all because the under section of the car is covered with that black stuff. not to mention the plastic wheel liner
