Shame mate.
Should have said I might have been able to sort something and we could have meet up. :(

To be honest, it all happened so quickly.. . I saw the car on a Sunday, put a deposit down on the same day and then collected the following Saturday.

Would've rather they went to you but getting it all done in less than one (easter) week would've been impossible for me.

You MUST remap it at least.
The difference is amazing on the HALDEX shackled S3 so I would imagine the Rocco to be a weapon once you are up and rolling.

Dont tell me the reckless Juvenile in you wouldnt enjoy annoying more exotic stuff on the m-Way.....ahem...:angrymod:

....and hasnt already thought about it.....:sly:

Ok, you've twisted my arm. It's already been at the back of my mind.
It's got just under a years warranty on it so I'll give it a few months and then put a rocket up its a*se!

These Roccos are bananas after a remap mate. Have done 1 of these and a Golf R............very nice indeed after a remap. Transforms the car just like an S3.

Yep I've been hearing the same. When the time comes its just a matter of deciding which remap to go for. Any recommendations?? ;)

GREAT choice, always loved the Scirocco R. Very jealous of you mate.
Sounds like you've found your first mod already with the bonnet lift!

After oogling over the pics for the last 10 minutes, noticing that in one you're hidden in a secret garage, probably naked staring at the steering wheel, while in another there's a random shopping trolley in the back...anyway, i've come to the conclusion that it needs lowering. :undwech:

True story though.

 Didn't notice that shopping trolley. Dunno how it got there because the closest supermarket is a good mile away.

I can't argue with your lowering comment. Although I will say that the photos exaggerate the arch gap. In the flesh is doesn't look so vast!
But I'm going to keep it at standard height, my days of lowering are over. Toooooooooo many speedbumps around here.

Ooo... Very good choice! Such an unmistakable car. I pick a new transporter up today, so you won't be the only person in the VW section.

I recognise that. Did you buy it from Huddersfield by any chance?

Nah. Apart from not having a panoramic roof the spec is pretty common amongst the other R's out there.... 19" Talladegas, dynaudio, leathers.
Unless you're seeing a blemish or something that makes it unique (???) then I reckon it'd be hard pick it out against other ones.

How's it going Danny?

Thanks mate, novelty is starting to wear off a little bit now and it doesn't look as "fresh" to my eyes anymore but still loving it.

So you sold your car???? Was it easy to shift? Mine not so easy.

And the London knowledge... I hear that's pretty intense! So now you're one of those guys speeding around the place on a scooter with a big A to Z blocking your view?!?

Yep, will definitely have to meet up.

Sold my car before Xmas mate, was pretty easy to sell. I got more than what I paid for, but I did spend about 2k on her.

That would be me, one of those scooter boys with a big board and map blocking my view, lol!
Very intense learning mate, I basically have to learn every street, building, POI etc within a 6 mile radius of Charing Cross. Am hoping it will only take me around 3 years.

Bit of an update for those who are interested:

No mods to the car yet, still standard but a REVO stage 1 is coming later this month.

Went on my first Scirocco meet at the weekend. Not the biggest turn out as it was a London/Essex meet, but was a good day.

We've got access to North Weald air field as one of the guys works there (its only 20 mins from East London) and it's perfect for a car meet - loads of space, loads of road inside the base to drive on and loads of food in the onsite cafe.
I'll keep you lot posted on the next meet (should be next month) and if any of you fancy coming down in your Audis then you're more than welcome.

One of the Roc drivers is a graphics man so brought along his car mounted video cameras etc and we got some great footage both in the air field and on the motorway home. So if you want to get some footage of your car come down to the next meet.

Here is the video and some shots:

Hi Ads, been ages since we heard from you. Hope your enjoying your car. You missing us yet, lol. :) x

Hi Sandra... I've still been lurking. Yep, still enjoying the car, don't get a chance to do many miles so the novelty still hasn't fully worn off yet.

And yep, missing everyone. Apart from Voorhees, of course. ;)

Great car Ads!

Just a heads up if you're in London. Autospecialists are now Revo VAG as well as Ford dealers - | AUTO SPECIALISTS LTD and what's cooler is that your Rocco would get Revo'd and set up by Ronnie Amis himself. Current Golf Time Attack driver.

Go Play...
