Hi, Im Eddie from Michigan.
I just need a guidelines with my MMI retrofit, I want to install a MMI 3g instead of my 2g low basic.
I have an 2008 audi q7 with the basic configuration:
- monochrome screen
- 4 buttons control
- 6 cd changer on top of climate control
- cd player under the armrest
you can see the interior in this pics
everything is basic, I just used Vagcom to add some funtions like miles per gallon in the FIS (pic 1)
cd player under the armrest (pic 2-3)
I just remove the cd player to see how it looks like (pic 4)
I read in other post, that first of all I need to check if I have DSP amp rigth? if i have it, everything will be easier? but if not? it is still possible?
I'll check it tomorrow morning, I can find it in the right part of the trunk.
so I "just" need a list with parts... and probably ill pick all the parts from an A6 near me.
I assume that I'll need:
- Screen and panel
- radio unit that it'll go under the armrest
- control panel with 8 buttons
- MMI control head interface (located behind the glovebox)
something else other than cables (I have no idea what kind of cables or conectors I need, but I think new parts has new connectors rigth?)
maybe a gateway control module? (black piece located under the steering wheel)
I asked in some autoshop and nobody can help me, I hope somebody here can do it.
