We are with Cheltenham and Gloucester, they gave us a good deal recently when we moved. They were originally the only provider who'd give two students a mortgage that was back in the day of them giving a mortgage to anyone over 18 though.

Best lender I've ever used!

Haven't checked out their rates recently but at the time I took out a mortgage with them they were the best by far.
They also offset your current and saving account against your mortgage if you bank with them also.

Oh and when you call them there is no waiting or menu/options to go through.... someone (from England) just answers the phone.

I normally just use an independant advisor,and search all teh good deals, but they do seem to have a favourite lender.
