I bought some A1 wheels for my A3 woooops and they have 225/40 tyres on, will they fit an A1?

Hi guys, I bought some wheels that I was told came off an A3, drove 2 hours each way to pick them up, now I find out there A1 wheels, and a different pcd, there the 18" le mans genuine Audi wheels, trouble is they also have 225/40 tyres on them which I'm led to believe is the wrong size for an A1? Question is do I take the tyres off and use them on my A3 or will anyone actually want them with the 225/40s on?

We ran 225/40 18's on our A1 on OEM rims, a 'ride' improvement over the 225/35 18's

And yes the PCD is different: 4 x 100 for the A1 and 4 x 112 for the A3

So yes, someone would "want them with the 225/40s on?" I am sure.

Ok thanks for the replies guys, I'll try and sell them as is then, I was under the impression the bigger 40 profile rubbed?
