Hi all, just wondering if anyone has a clue what this problem could be before I get diagnostics done. I have cleaned the MAF which didn't help and have run the car still with it completely removed for about a minute to see if that was the main cause of the problem, which it doesn't seem to be. The actual problem itself is when I start the engine the idle doesn't hunt at all, as soon as I press the throttle it immediately hunts up and down about 1000rpm -turn the engine off and restart and it's back to a perfect idle again? Would this be a lambda sensor / idle air control valve problem?

Any help much appreciated.
Engine is the 1.6 AKL by the way.

I've googled online if it does have one but it's coming up with complete throttle body assemblies that are £200+.

Think I'll just see what the mechanic says from diagnostics, could also be a vacuum leak from what I've heard but I haven't had the time to check for something like that. The problem is so annoying in traffic when everyone's looking and wondering why you're revving up and down haha.
