Hub leg upright replacement

My a6 avant has failed an mot on play on the hub leg upright where a ball joint is clamped in.

Can I use one off a passat of the same age? There is more of them close to me and need it done fast.

Any help would be great.

Take care what year you take it from, early ones weren't alloy and used 20 mm bottom ball joints, newer ones are alloy and 16mm ball joints.

I've managed to find an a6 one local enough. What a pain this hub leg is....
