How to tell if you have a Dpf or not.

Anyone suggest how I find out if my car has a dpf or not. I assumed as it is an early BKN engine 54 Reg that I didn’t but a quick search for exhaust parts shows that some 04 BKN were fitted with a dpf.

Any idea? Is it a case of getting the car in the air and having a poke around?

I put my reg in on TPS and it came up with A4 TDI QUATTRO DPF S LINE.
Also I think it's just the 233bhp models that are dpf 06 onwards.
I also called Audi Customer services to double check.

Yeah I should have done a better search. Google said the same thing. Audi TDV 233ps is their name for dpf.

I thought the exhauat pipes gave it away. Angled to the floor = no DPF
Straight out = DPF
Could be wrong though

What's it say on your V5?

I swear my passat says DPF on reg doc.

Have you got the build sticker in your dic pack or in the boot. Usually has a bunch of codes relating to configuration when built. May be a reference there.
Failing that its get underneath it or i guess a Vagcom scan may tell you.
