How to Remove dipstick cap? (2020 Q5)

How do I remove this dipstick cap. It's sort of looks oval/ ridges are different at say 9 and 3 o'clock lol.
I tried lifting tabs a bit on each side but didn't wanna break it....

Pretty sure it’s just a cap - it’s not a dipstick- not sure if you knew that....

Have similar fitting on my S7, also not a dipstick.

Yes i get that. I'm trying to remove it so I can suck out the oil

It just pulls right off - needs a good tug!

No it doesn't. On b9's needs to be rotated so that the tabs are vertical and the pull. Longitudinal you ll see thats where the tabs lock into place. Yes other generations you just pull.

Correct, the EA837 V6 engines in the B8 (3.2L, 3.0T) use a dipstick tube with no orientation specifics for the cap. The EA888 2.0T in the B8 uses a dipstick tube whose end has two orientations for the cap, one locked and one unlocked. https://c1552172.ssl.cf0.rackcdn.com/412903_x800.webp
The tabs on the EA888 cap (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...ug/06h115418m/) are not spread action like the EA837 cap (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...cap/06e115418/). They will just snap off.
