How to remove centre console?

As above on a s tronic? One of the faults I had relate to a gear selector switch (f305) which is only about £25 I think, but need to remove the covers surrounding the gear lever to get to it.
For that price it's worth a swap to see if it works...
 
iv used that guide very easy
 
yes, just be careful you don't scratch any trim when removing the PRND surround, other than that, just pull up firmly. Not hard, but with a sudden jolt... you know, the kind of clips Audi use to keep bits in, doesn't take too much.
 
5min. Cloth covered plastic screwdriver in the gap between the leather gear stick gaiter and silver surround. Pop it up, lift up as high as poss. I didn't take the gear knob off. Slide the air con unit out (wasn't in that hard, I took mine out by hand - not too much upward pressure, more like putting your hand under and sliding back - do it repeatedly - and it comes out)
Then hand inside the MMI, hand under the back part (near rotary wheel) and pull up. Done. Taking the wiring off isn't too hard.

EDIT: You're not coming to ADI are you? Could've done it then.
