You can only open it from the inside I believe, there should be a latch inside to release the boot lock.

Take the back seats down? Not sure of any other way.

Use the button on the drivers door to disable all door locks. Then press the micro switch on the tailgate handle?

How do you do this? never seen a boot release inside the car, unless it's because mine is an older 04 plate. :(

This would only work with a battery, which the OP does not have

You will have to climb through into the boot.

Have a look at the rear tailgate from inside, and central near the bottom of the tailgate, you will see a blank plate about 25mm square. Pop this out and it should give you access to manually over ride the boot catch.

Hi
On the 3 door, if you get in the car, lower the rear seats, there is a horizontal slot about 3ins long in the boot trim panel.
Put your ignition key into this, and slide one way or the other (can't remember which way) and the lock will open.
I have a 2005 3 door 2.0T and have had to remove the door trim to sort out a leaking rear wiper motor.
Hope this helps
