How to open Audi TTS 8J with dead battery and key doesnt turn?

Hi,
I broke my hip 3 months back when a car knocked me off my pedal bike!
My car has been unused on the driveway ever since
I came to unlock it, but the battery is dead
The key has never turned in the lock for some reason
How to get to the battery to charge it?
I read that the battery can be tricked charged from the number plate light - how to do that?
