How many people use their S3 as their daily? ( and A3 )

Used to use my S3 as a daily driver up untill when i bought a VW T4 for work duties . Use van during week for work and weekend if away mtbing ....S3 is now just for fun mainly at the weekend ...i love it too much to part with it ! ....so engine mods next

S3s the daily, doing about 9k a year.

The MG has been off the road for a couple of years (was my daily for about 7 years in all weathers!) but is now BACK and quicker than ever with newly bored-out engine and having been to Scotland's top historic race prep expert for tuning. Shame he had it for the whole summer!
It will be put in to hibernation soon but i'm expecting to do 2 - 3k in the Midget next year (insured for 3k miles a year).

Currently looking to p/ex the S3 for a Mk1 Golf GTi and get a cheap 4x4 for winter, but we shall see. I'm a classic car nut at heart really, modern cars are boring unless you're doing silly speeds! That said, I won't be sad if I end up keeping the S3 - mine's a goodun.

I'd love to have a mk1 golf gti again but not as a daily again, I dont miss that leather steering wheel on cold mornings lol

Just bought my S3 and i use it as my daily drive, 2.4 miles to work and 2.4 miles back lol

Yup, every day. Rain, snow ice, sun. Don't matter, i bought it as it can cope with it. Worked better than the ex wife's impreza in the snow last year!!!

bought my A3 as a daily , 4 years and 45K later still putting 150 miles a week on it back and fore work , do about 200 miles a week average still going strong no plans to change it yet

wife dont drive so i have two cars ( three at the moment till i sell one ) had a yellow corrado as a toy in avatar , swapped that for a yellow porsche in sig two years ago, this is still for sale , but traded that for a mk2 with a 230 bhp TT 20v turbo fitted , drive the toy about 3-4 K per year they didn't or don't get used much in the winter

In all honesty what do you think of it?
I'm a proud owner of an S3 & 4S myself, both about the same age & mileage & have to say, for most of the time I prefer the Audi.

Had this on the Porsche forums too, & they all seem to think the Porkers are gods gift to drivers...
Dont get me wrong, I love them both, but I always feel that point to point the S3 would beat the Porker & in more comfort too!

C4S is a great drivers car , mine had a PSE and the noise would always put a smile on my face never really got the car anywhere near its limits , still have it up for sale here

enjoy the vag show scene and people didn't seem to like the porsche and would walk past nose in the air , and the porsche scene is a waste of time MOSTLY full of people who see the car as a status thing and are more worried where are they stopping for lunch than how much fun can we have getting there
had a yellow corrado before the porsche and the porsche cost 30 x what the corrado was sold for but it wasn't 30 x the fun
alway said i would go back to a mk2 after the porsche and when my mate put this up for sale i couldn't refuse
enjoy my A3 as a daily , it only a 1.8 20v SE non turbo i've driven a few S3's would love one as a daily but wouldn't live with the C4S as a toy

Everyday. Was used quite abit initially travelling from London to the mids but after moving back I only do about 150 miles per week max.

Like 6/7 days a week. 26 mi round trip. 225bhp BAM makes a fun commute. Roundabouts are great fun.
