AR50 didn't think any of these were left, a mate had one at 17 and it was painfully slow lol brings back some funny memory's though, you got any pictures of it?

Its the same AR50 that I bought when I was 15. After years of sitting in my parents greenhouse a couple of years ago I decided to do something with it. Slow progress to say the least

Here are some progress shots of when I first started stripping it. Completed so far is refurb of wheels and suspension, new 93cc engine with 6 speed gearbox. Its been off at fabricators for fairing mounts for about 2 years now....
Once that gets done it would be powder coating the frame and getting fairings sprayed then just put it back together

One of the first 2008 model 13s in country . I got it in dec 2007 and built it to race it at some Irish road races and the TT . But my rider crashed in qualifying so didn’t race it . The thing was a weapon 130bhp +

Not a current bike of mine but i'v recently decided to refresh my memories of one i had back in the early 2000's before letting it go.

Seen a few for sale but a bit steep these days , still worth selling one of the current collection to fund one of these in very near future.

Added this to the stable to go with the 99 R1. Long story short I actually sold this to the owner in 2008 when I worked in a Bike shop while at uni and always said when you're done with it let me know. And here we are!

Regret ever getting shot of my 5JJ 2001 R1. Was a great bike. Got to say my Suzuki K5 is a fair bit faster though

Being a somewhat of a classic biker i have a passion for the classic road and racers .

would love to add one of these to the garage, not road user friendly off course but great trackday tool and not the same old tools around either. :thumbs up:
factory 851 , later became the 888 series and beyond .

For me the only newish Duke i'd go for would be an early RR.
Bonkers price tags these days so i'd need to sell the house, wife and half my organs..lol , that said 851 and 888 race bikes are similar prices ....oh well maybe next year.

This was my foray into Ducati ownership (along with all the cliched 'looks lovely, but for every 3 things you fix, 5 other things break')

And this is how it looked taking it down to Barcelona to watch MotoGP

looks great except for the headlamp unit, just doesn't look right somehow, the rest of the bike looks brill but that headlamp assembly spoils it.
Still a personal choice really. :thumbs up:

Yeah second pic way better lol

Nice, consider one of these earlier in the year but still unsure. Seem a popular bike and even used prices hold there value well.
I can't fault mine personally but if you're looking for a laid back life it's probably not the bike for you. The throttle is snappy and it just wants to go all of the time. But you can't beat the sound of the Crossplane CP4 straight from the block to an Akrapovic. (no cat).

Yeah one of my favourite sounds the crossplane, have to say though mate quite a few years ago I had an SP1 with Microns that sound unbelievable. My last steed was a MV Brutale with a Arrow titanium system that sounded the nuts but the throttle was the same, tat around town :thumbs up:
