Plan is to keep my RNS-E and ditch the factory non Bose amp and sub and replace with a 12" sub and aftermarket amp in the boot.
What amp spec is best suited for this arrangement, would you run all door speakers off the amp or keep the fronts off the standard headunit and just power the rears and Sub from the Amp?
Is there a definitive guide anywhere to installing an aftermarket amp in to an A4 B7 Avant, I have competed many installs in the past but never on an Audi and never with a factory head unit so the wiring and lack of RC's looks tricky
Thanks in advance

I’ve just installed a sub and amp in my Avant, I used a Vibe Delta Box to take the RCA signal from the front speakers, it also gives you the switch wire. I left the (pointless) standard sub in place, it’s worked a treat.

Thanks for the reply thats much appreciated.
Are your rear speakers still running from the standard amp. Ideally I wanted to be able to maintain front and rear split so need to ditch standard amp and use new amp to power rear door speakers along with a sub.
All 6.5" door speakers will be changed with components.

All the other speakers still pick up the standard signal.
