how long will a concert HU retain code for, without power?

i.e. if I remove the radio and unplug all the leads, how long is it before the radion requires the code re-inputing to make it function?

dude, i bought one from a scrapy for 20 quid. left it for at least a year and it still had the code.

I think it is because they use flash memory these days...

On later CANBUS Audi's it'll never require the code unless it is fitted to a different vehicle.
