The other day I noticed a small dent in the door. Looks like it was caused by someone slamming their own door against mine as the dent is vertical line. In the photo it looks like there is a cratch and paint missing but its not, just a reflection. It's quite small but very noticeable so I'm thinking of having it fixed. Can someone give any advice on how easy it would be to fix, what it might cost and who best to see to have it repaired? I live in north west london in case someone has any specific recommendations.

I don't know who specifically but just look for a mobile dent removal company in your area. I had something similar on my B8.5 A4 and the guy was able to get it looking as good as new and I think it was about £70/80. If there's paint damage then you'd need to find a company that can do some paint repairs as well, just make sure that they're decent as Daytona can be a pain to blend in nicely apparently...

Hey I do like to 'play' around cars with a pdr kit and I m not a specialist yet,but these require a bit of work to get them out.

That will be sorted with pdr I would guess. Due to its location I imagine they will be able to get behind easy enough and push it out. This is the cheaper option

My wifes a5 had a dent on the rear arch where it was double skinned. No rear access and it was glue pulled out. More expensive but cheaper than a body shop

Thanks for the advice. Will search for a mobile dent repairers and get a quote. Will be happy if it's less than £100.

I had one very similar when I dropped my vacuum against the door whilst I was cleaning the car on my old b8 a4. A local dent place came to my house and took out the electrical black tube that goes into the door and inserted a crow bar type device into the inside of the door and pushed it out. £50 and 15 mins work.

Definitely a paintless dent removal job. I had a small dent repaired that way in the rear wing of my A3 Sportback in 2015. It cost £60 and was a perfect repair. Until I learnt about pdr (from the A3 forum) I would not have believed such an imperceptible repair was possible.

Sometimes you can remove it with a kettle of boiling water and an inverted air duster.

Heat the area with the boiling water and hen blast the dent with the up turned duster so it freezes it. The temperature difference can sometimes pop the dent out.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is an air duster?
