Depends on whether or not it's a DSG(in which case you use launch control) and assuming it isn't,the technique will depend on how much you value your clutch and transmission.
The most brutal method is to get the rpm up to around 4000,select !st,and drop the clutch......it's effective but very unkind, and your clutch won't last vry long.
The other way is to just feed in the power as the clutch comes up,and whilst it may not be as quick,it won't kill the transmission.

Prob as above dump the clutch but your more then likely to wheel spin, On occasion ive managed to do it where it just pulls off smoothly no wheel spinning and pulls you into your seat, Just releasing clutch slowly then quick as it bites.

The stock Haldex isn't terribly quick at shifting torque around, and if you try,you can get it to wheelspin a bit,but the Race controller is much quicker to direct torque to the rear, and will preload the rear as well as directing more torque, faster to the rears than the original.
Another factor in wheelspin is the tyres, and the OEM Bridgestones on mine were pretty awful, and getting wheelspin out of those wasn't terribly difficult, but with decent rubber, the traction is much better, and the chances of lighting up the tyres are much reduced.

What are the best tyres for little or no wheel spin? Brand/product wise.

You would be amazed how many people are going for skinnier tires these days because looks and wheel arch clearance is more important than the best grip :)
Each to their own :)

Nope. When I said 'we have a winner' I was talking about me. ;)

Just keep telling yourself that, You're the one pitching to me remember? You need some of my millions to help launch a product, I've launched products and made my millions. Remind me who the winner is again? Oh and one more thing, you cannot declare yourself the winner when you are the one pitching. Everyone knows that come on!

Nice sig yourself, just creates a memorable moment of the day. Alliteration aside it was only too many words because it belittled you and for that I apologise.

oh and 'M'e'M'orable 'M'o'M'ent which can usually be said to be an example of assonance, but in broader terms such as these the term alliteration can also be used.

As Above but turn the esp off aswell. But whatever you do, only does this when front wheels are in a perfect straight line other wise you may snap the prop shaft coupling (like i did, twice....:whistle2:) was when the car was under warranty so i was lucky....

Don't really boot mine off the line, usually only in gear, as I want to avoid the above.

The Haldex Gen IV, with its seperate feeder pump, has the ability to lock the clutch for take off, thus no wheelspin

I appreciate that, but the stock device does benefit from the addition of the controller.

Being an 08 car mine doesnt have the Gen IV,but there are a number of guys using the Gen IV controller as well.

The controller definitely helps since it was reprogrammed to clamp down harder on the clutchpack. I just wish the aftermarket guys found a better way to change to different modes besides having to buy the switch, which cannot be installed anywhere cleanly. It should have been made accessible thru the DIS via the wiper stalk, or if it doesn't talk to the CANBUS (obviously it does, or else it won't be able to send all those errors or light up the ESP light), it could have been programmed to receive coded signals from sensor information it uses (ABS, brake actuation (tap on brakes 5x for race mode), parking brakes (pull up and down brake 5x for race mode), etc) and put itself in the appropriate mode.

You can always get the cordless version.

On the other hand if you didn't know where it was it would take you a bit of time to find the one in my car.

AMD do an excellent job on stealthy and neat installs.
