How accurate is the speedo??

Run in period is over so a couple of days ago I decided to unleash the beast on the Autobahn



Didn't quite make it to the very top end as every time I was getting close I had to slow down for a car in front! My mates camera work is not the best lol

I expect this will be around 5% higher than the real value

As long as you on a level piece of road GPS speed will be the most accurate

Yeah I thought gps would be more accurate but I can't find the speed on the factory nav

Another car that is 'limited' to 155mph, but clearly doesn't know what 155mph is! Apparently they are less than 5% out. Based on that you were doing around 153miles an hour

I've had 167mph out of mine on the speedo gps was saying 164mph asked Audi (was heading to ingolstadt) and their reply was oops

I plugged my TomTom in to see what that would show , and essentially when I was showing 73mph on my digital speedo, it was showing 70mph on the TomTom, so standard speedo not wildly out

I'll have another go at some point, I'll try and remember to change the digital speedo to mph
