Horn/wipers/indicators/full beam/dash lights not working?

Done loads of reading but can't find any posted solutions for my exact issue. I have changed and recoded a replacement steering control module but thats not sorted it. Some suggest ignition switch but a sympton I read would be radio staying on after removing key from ignition, but theres no problem with this. So nothing works from the stalks, nor the horn. The sidelights and headlights and foglights all work (as they don't turn on with stalks like the B5) but the dash backlight doesn't light up or the centre console, the climate panel and radio work. Desperate for anyone to point me in the right direction that have seen exact issue.

Sounds like you may have a CCM (Central Control Module) issue.
Check the carpets for damp on the passenger side, as the CCM is located under the carpet, & is prone to water ingress if the Plenum chamber drain plugs are blocked. CCM failure causes multiple electrical problems.
IIRC the steering angle code only clears after driving the car around a couple of corners after resetting.

Had the same issue a few years ago on my 3.0 QS Avant. No fault codes but issue got worse when car was warm. Dealer replaced ignition switch didn't fix problem. Needed new module under dash about £300 if I recall correctly

Any chance of finding out exactly which module? Have replaced steering wheel control module and coded but not resolved

So I have had all the carpet up today and located CCM module, but everything is bone dry and looks ok visually! Car is old Y reg but only done 43k miles! Should I replace CCM anyway do you think?

On board power supply control unit faulty, that's why you have lost wipers horn lights. Ccm doesn't control these.

Sorry, this was 5-6 years ago and don't have part number.

The dealer repeated the issue by swapping module to another car.

Now switched to the darkside (BMW)

Thank you so much.... found behind fuse panel, £20 from ebay, problem solved. Used VCDS to recode fro trailer hitch and learn VIN. Now to sell CCM module and steering control module which of course didn't fix issue! I hope others make use of this thread in the future. Cheers Sumo
