I’ve owned my Audi TT 2013 1.8TFSI since last April 2018. By October the oil light had come on and needed topping up by 1.25litres.
On January 11th VW had it for some warranty work and told me the oil was again low and further topped it up by another litre.
600 miles later and the light has come back on.
It’s been to the garage today and they advised there was a small deposit of oil around the turbo actuator which they’ve cleaned off and I need to take it back in two weeks to see if it’s built back up to determine if it’s leaking from there.
There is also a fair amount of white smoke when the car is cold on colder mornings. Been much less so the last couple of days.
Any thoughts on what this might be? Does the turbo actuator seem likely? I’m not convinced and I think it’s burning oil considering the rate it’s getting through it.
