Hidden Menu Audi A4 B8 -09???

Hey guys, I'm new to this site and I'm not sure if i'm on the right place for this question. I have an Audi A4 B8 -09 and I have tryed to enter the hidden mmi menu today, I've watched some videos on youtube and searched some on google and found out that I have to press car+setup in order to bring it up, but this does not work for me, why is that? Do I have the wrong version of my mmi or something? Would really appreciate if someone could explain or link a guide or something if theres a way to solve this. Thanks.

First is it MMI you have or just Audi Concert with a normal display screen? At that age, I'm guessing that the hidden menu function did not apply - but maybe I'm wrong. Poor man's "mmi" is AIS - I think.

If you have access to VCDS you have to activate the green menu option first before menu will work, otherwise there are ways to download an fsc file onto an SD card and run that in your MMI which should activate the green menu, if you google for Audi Green menu activation, that should give all the links to the right files to download if you want to do it via the sd card option.

Yes, clearly says MMI when I start the ignition and the display turns on

I have enabled the green menu but don't want to go fiddling with things before I know what they do ! What are the best features to enable in the green menu ? Any guides would be great.

As above to get into the hidden menu you first need to enable it. You can do this with vcds or if you have an android phone get a cheap Bluetooth dongle and get carista. You can enable the hidden menu and make changes easily. Be very careful messing in the hidden menu. you need to know what level of mmi you have 2g 3g high low etc.

I think you'll have the same as me ... technically it's not actually 'proper' MMI - believe it's called AMI? (not to be confused with Audi Music Interface).

You will have the relevant buttons (media / tel etc) on the dashboard rather than by the gear fascia?

I think I have 2g, my buttons and dial is down by the gearstick but don't think I have an ad card slot

If you have a thumb joy stick in the middle of the big dial which allows you to pan the maps, then its a 3G/3G High, if you don't then its probably a 2G

I have the 2G, is it possible to retrofit a reversing camera ? Or is this only able to be done on the 3G
