Hi,
Iv had an intermittent startling issue on my A3 for over 12 months now. Initially when it happened it’s usually after it’s been standing for a while after a long journey. I was told it was the felonoid on the starter motor so got that changed, but it kept happening so put a whole new starter motor in . It’s not the battery as the lights are on the dash when the key is turned but just won’t crank. After the new starter motor 3 months ago it’s been totally fine but it’s happened again today . Managed to bump start it and it drive ok but when Iv turned it off it won’t start again. I’m wondering if it’s a fuel circulation issue? As it occasionally pulls back and jerks when on motorway, I’m fed up now can anybody help before I throw more money at it??
