I hope I'm not a bit out of my depth on this site. There are some lovely cars owned on here.
I'm trying to keep my old pre turbo A4 B6 FSI Avant on the road , and a not quite so old A4 B7 TFSI Avant.
I have found some really helpful stuff on the forums but only just picked up the courage to sign up.
The cam chain snapped on my old B6 and I was told to scrap it a week after the garage had installed a brand new ECU. I had just been furloughed , so with nothing to lose (except more money) I bought a second hand engine from Ebay and swapped it over on my drive . It must admit it took me about 3 months, struggling with parts and information but I got there. Hopefully I might be able to help someone else for a change now I have a little experience around a few nuts and bolts.
