Hey mate yeah i work offshore so i can maybe help you out with your questions but only been working offshore for last 3 years so havent got total knowledge of everything!Forgot to say work all over the place as mainly on construction vesssels etc

I quite fancy getting into this line of work, love being out on the sea - but not sure on the best line of work to become skilled in.
 
There are loads of oppertunites out there, depending on age and skill sets. l would not go into the drilling side of it, rather the service side.
 
I am 25, work in IT - Networks, specialising in the gaming industry at the moment. I already have sea survival, first aid and basic fire fighting as I am a boat master and Power Boat instructor.

Feel like I am wring a (very boring) singles ad.
 
yeah there are lots of good jobs out there its just finding the right one for you.Im in the R.O.V side of things which can be quite exciting and to do that you need good technical background from either mechanical,hydraulic or electrical but as long as you have atleast one of these the rest you can learn as you go along which i am doing as my background is mechanical engineer.
