Help with DIS symbol

A friend of mine has bought a 2.5 Tdi allroad ,he has a symbol on the DIS which looks like a headlamp with two arrow's one pointing up and one down . we were asuming it is something to do with the self leveling of the lights is this a common fault and can anyone suggest where to start checking for pos problems .any help much apreciated out of intrest do the lights adjust when the suspension height is adjusted as apposed to the manual adj on my A4

Sensor under front nearside wheelarch on my A6, believe there may be something at rear too, i seem to remember a similar thread in the last couple of months if you search for it.
