HELP! VCDS assistance needed Sussex/Surrey/Kent

I obtained a new copy of the satnav maps for my rnse (i drive a 2004 A6 C5 Avant), firmware updated without an issue and now the drive will not read the disc (its a copy)! all the research says if i use vcds to open the firmware refresh again i can put my original Audi disc in and all will be fine again (albeit out of date), it does still read the Audi disc but says its not compatible with my firmware.

I would rather give someone £20 to do a scan and change the code to enable the refresh, than give Audi X hundreds to tell me i need a whole new headunit or dvd drive at the least.

I don't mind travelling a little so if your in Kent or Surrey its not a problem

I'm in Sussex as well, and work in Haywards Heath so not too far.

Either way im hoping a scan (hoping it shows no errors) and change to the RNSE refresh setting will allow for the sat nav to start working again!
