Help trying to remove lower dipstick tube the metal one

Hi gents has anyone removed there lower metal dipstick tube on a 1.8t as not only a broken orange tube the plastic ball is also cracked ..
I've tried giving it some welly no use any one managed to get it out or is it a dealer job
