Does anyone know how to remove the Steering Wheel airbag on the FL?

I need to get at the paddles.

Cheers in advance!

I think the FL is the smaller button a la the new TT, yes? If so then it is held in by two spring clips as here:

(It takes a while to feel for the spring clip - or it did for me!)

Whatever you do - remember to disconnect the battery and leave for at least 30 minutes prior to removing it.

It might sound noddy but it's what's recommended. I doubt your hands would be in the same shape as they are now if you set it off.

Yeah, might take it to a specialist - That fishing with a grenade video on WhatsApp has left mental scares!

Thanks @Hal Adams - It looks the same mechanism as that. Its actually on MY18 RS5 but they share the same wheel and there's only 3-4 other 5 owners on here!

I really would not get caught up by the scaremongering. Especially if you disconnect the battery, there is not much that will set the bag of as it needs the electric signal for this to happen. I had one roll off a bench onto a tiled floor recently and it remained in tact!

I forgot to say in my first post, to find the apertures to gain access to the springs, you need to turn the wheel 90 degrees off centre and access them from above.
