Help please! What do my fault codes mean?

Hi all, I'm new to this but I'm guessing people on here may help.
I have just brought a 56 plate passat (I know it's not an audi) and I have had a problem. I've had a diagnostic done and have fault codes 05635 internal control mod failed self test P1603 short with power & 00564 boost pressure regulation limit exceeded over boost condition P0234 short with power.
Can anyone tell me what these mean in English and what needs to be done?

The first 2 faults maybe battery/alternator related.

You really need to provide some more info than 'I have had a problem'

What are the issues you are experiencing and who scanned the car and what did they use to scan it??

It maybe worth getting someone with VCDS to scan the car.

More detail: I was driving along at about 60mph revving quite high and the power dropped and the display said "engine fault garage" an the glow plug light was flashing. I took it to the local garage and they plugged it in and these are the fail codes that it came up with.
