Guys,

My mate has Audi A4 2009 170 bhp 2.0 SE

Currently it is in limp mode and the soot mass measured is 47.99g

Is it safe to perform regeneration, we have a VAG com

can someone explain how its done?

tried this however I get an error message as soon as I do

Error:Safety

Any help will be much appreciated

I have done a regen on a diesel before. In the line that Anthony556 posted, it says:

Particle Filter Load below Specification (see MVB 075.3, VCDS should give the specified value)
  • If the Particle Filter Load is above Specification the Particle Filter needs to be replaced since the car may burn down when regenerating.

So in 01 Engine, click on measuring blocks and go to channel 75. The 3rd box along will have a value, which you say is 47.99. What does VCDS say underneath? If your value is higher than VCDS's, then you can't do a regeneration.

what do you think

do you know what group 75 is ? we couldn't find it in the options

Yep. Open VCDS and click 01 Engine. Then on the left click Measuring Blocks, then when that next window opens change the value on the left from 001 to 075, then it should show you the figures you need.
