Help needed

Hi all i just got my RS4 steering wheel but the sport airbag does not fit onto it off my A4 they look exactly the same but it doesnt fit.

I called Audi and they said the airbag will be around £500!!!

I was wondering if anyone has the part number of one which will fit and if anyone knows the best place to buy one?

I can supply the part number of the steering wheel if needed.

2000 same as yours mate i think.

So gutted like the airbag looks like it would fit but when you try it is a little bit out.

I wonder if like S3's and any other models have the same airbag unit.

WOW if I was asked I would have said yes they would fit, I was thinking of doing it myself.


I have the parts CD at home so will look tonight not unless some one beats me to it but based on the problem you have I would think it's only going to be one part or maybe the B6 might work.

When i called Audi they said i need a chassis number for a RS4 but maybe you will be able to see if S3, RS4 and newer models are all the same.

Otherwise i may have to sell the wheel as i cant afford to spend around £500.

£500!!!

You can pick-up a whole RS4 one on ebay for less than £250

I think perhaps the new S-Line steering wheels have the same airbag but not 100% though.

Hopefully 4 ring spares or someone similar will have one on the cheap.
