Any advice appreciated valve dropped on 1.8 TFSI after inspection decided on top end rebuild (pistons/bores etc unmarked) New valves/springs, timing chains, head skimmed and pressure tested new injectors. Everything looks OK compression etc BUT when the VVT Solenoid (which is new) is connected misfire develops after 10 mins. and codes show generic multiple misfire. With solenoid disconnected, all OK no misfire runs sweet just MIL on as solenoid is seen as open circuit. Any idea what might be wrong/happening Hindsight is a wonderful thing so maybe I should have gone for a recon or gone to dealer but I am where I am!
