Help needed on part No

Hi folks I was cleaning my MAF unit today but while taking of the relevant hoses this valve connection to the hose broke it's the unit that is attached to the top left hand side of the airbox... does anyone know what part No it is to get a replacement

what does that valve do? mines makes a ticking noise.

charcoal filter or something as was on my S3 if we're talking about same thing.

it also known as the N80 evap/purge valve.Around £40 plus vat IIRC

I had to replace my one of those as well, I think the plastic pipe that snapped was very brittle.

Just got off the phone to Martin at VAGPARTS he said it's quite a common thing to happen he said it gets very hot in that location and makes the plastic become brittle, I've ordered one I think it was around the £43 mark as I ordered other stuff (lower door trim - 710N valve) the total was £107 inc vat & del he said it would take a couple of days to get it as it was not stock they carried, thanks to Doc I am sure I've saved a bundle from stealers

thats what happend to mine its bodged right now but I need to get a new one.
