HELP NEEDED!! NO POWER STEERING

Hi all I'm new to the group so apologies now if I don't cover everything.
I've purchased an Audi a3 2.0fsi on a 53 plate from an auction site, car came with a flat battery so bump started it. I have no power steering and red steering wheel on dash, also 3 beeps when turning ignition on. I have drove the car and after driving for a few miles the light goes out and power steering comes back. Turn ignition off and leave for a couple of hours and back to square one. I have spoken to previous owner and theyve said they had no probs with car. It has been stood for 12 months. I have had it plugged into machine but am unable to access the steering module at all. Could it just need recalabrating due to flat battery or do you think it will need a new steering rack and module.
I'm pulling my hair out with it!! :-(

You may have to reset the steering via VCDS. Where in the country are you?

Look for anyone local to you. If you ask nicely I'm sure someone will scan it and reset if required.

May be quicker to zoom in on the map and click on the icon and it will give you the username, then PM them.
