Help needed 2.0TFSI

I was changing the spark plugs on my 2005 Audi A3 2.0T quattro and noticed that some previous mechanic has leaned in on this electrical connector plugged into some sensor i think. I can see the metal inside the connector is still intact, but the plastic around it is broken. I put some electrical tape around it for temporary protection. So my question is, what kind of sensor is this? I really want to replace it. Car is working fine with no fault codes.

Did the same with mine faffing about with intakes. I have it glued up with no issues
