I fitted cruise today and Dis and I cannot get these lights off

Cruise is working and I know DIS is working because I can scroll through them quickly before the warning lights come on

What am I doing wrong that I cannot get rid of these lights?

In measuring blocks the steering angle won't change from -2.5 when I turn the wheel

I've been looking at that guide when doing it. Just don't understand why the steering angle sensor value isn't changing from -2.5

Am I entering the wrong code in for the brakes?

Like do I enter the 15" part of the code for my brakes? its a 1.9 sport

0x?xx in brakes what goes where the question mark is?

Hi,
As the above sort of states in your print out, the ABS module has not been coded (Coding: 00000).
This means you are not putting the correct code in and therefore the module is rejecting it.

Once you have the correct code, it will work just fine.
Have a look at what the code was in one of your previous scans before you did the cruise fit.

Once that is done, all your probs should be fixed :)

Cheers
Chris

Mine was the same, toook it apart and checked everything over and then rebuilt it. Still acting up but after a few times of recalibrating the steering angle sensor it worked. Was pretty weird

Yea cheers lads. I got it all working. I just grounded the wire for pin 1 to an earth point behind the clocks for the washer sensor for the min.

I fitted my armrest I got from Stoke Audi

Next up is trying to do these footwell lights and puddles lights

Glad you got it sorted in the end. I had similar mad panic moments when mine wouldnt accept the coding!!

I also fitted the washer fluid low level warning sensor to mine. Bought the sensor, grommet, connector and repair wires for it and made the loom up. Fairly easy job actually if you decide to go for it.

really sorry for the possible stupid question but..... what does DIS stand for? i am looking at fitting cruise to my b6 190t quattro sport, what parts do i need? thanks

I hope its not the same isue i had with my RS6 before i bought it as it cost £1600 to fix (under warranty) turned out to be the ABS control unit

DIS is driver information system. Your should have it if you have buttons on your right wiper stalk. It controlls the computer in the middle giving you m.p.g, average speed.

The sport just has miles till empty function enabled on the computer between the clocks. You cant scroll through anything
I fitted a new stalk because the A4 sport doesn't get DIS as standard. SE spec does if I'm correct?

I have all that to go in. Just need some good weather to run the wire down. They are sitting in a plastic bag for the time being.

Just note that you will need to take the lower half of the washer fluid bottle out through the passenger front wheel arch, once the liner has been removed. Then you will be able to see the blank where the sensor goes in. There was a rubber seal already on the bottle but as the helpful parts man at Audi ordered me a new one I swapped it for that.

The wire can pass into the cabin through a grommet at the base of the A pillar and it then comes out in the passenger footwell. I had the glovebox out to make routing it through to the dash easier.
