Hi there folks,
I'm basically looking to find out if anyone has had the experience i'm going through just now. I have a Oct 2007 S3 with only one modification that being the RNS-E unit which was fitted one month after getting the car.
A while back i put my car in for its first oil service & everything was ok, no problems - service indicator reset, happy days!! So then it came to putting it in for its full first service & everything was going great until the technician told me that he couldnt reset the service indicator!! He asked if they car was chipped & i said no, which it isnt so then he said he would look further into it. Finally they came back saying that a command module was broken so they replaced it only to find that they still cant reset the service indicator. The RNS-E unit was brought up in conversation with the technician & they are now claiming that it could be this that is causing the problem but i cant understand this if the service indicator was reset for the oil service? Also they are now saying that my warranty could be invalid because of me making this modification. My question is has anyone who has retrofitted a RNS-E unit had this problem with the service indicator in the past?
Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Cheers
