Heated wing mirrors

Anybody know how to repair a wingmirror that no longers heats up?

The N/S mirror works fine but the O/S (drivers side) fails to do aything!

small minor problem i know, but very /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/swear.gif annoying!!

I have a 1.9tdi 2004 avant and have exactly the same problem - passengers side ok, drivers not heating. it is under warranty and the garage are replacing the heating coil in the wingmirror - so far it has been three weeks on order!

I'm not so lucky with the warrenty so im gonna have to pay out of pocket.

Is this a common fault then does anyone know??
