One of my headlight washer jets has started leaking for the 4th time.

Does anyone know if the headlight washer pump should allow water to go through it when it is not pumping?

I don't believe it should.

I have deactivated my washers using VCDS as they are annoying.

thanks.

When you VCDS, do you mean Carista or using the full VCDS?
Do you have to turn them back on for the MOT (since I think it is a requirement for halogen lights)?

I don't know specifically about MOT requirements as I'm not from the UK but I would assume they are required (for Xenon not for Halogen)

I used VCDS, its very easy to deactivate and reactivate the washers.

Does anyone know if Carista has the feature to turn the headlight washers on and off?
(for a 2012 B8.5)

I can't see it on the Carista sticky post

Carista does have the feature to turn them off and on, I've turned mine off as they use too much fluid haha.

Turn them back on at MOT time though as they are a fail if not working
