headlight switch and overhead buttons not illuminating

Hi,
something thats been annoying me for a while but not really had chance to take a look. my headlight switch and overhead light buttons dont illuminate when headlights are switched on.
They have randomly come on once or twice but just go off on their own.
Any ideas?

Try a 2nd hand headlight switch in?

Mine only lost lights on the switch unit and not above, but could be linked.

cheers, ive ordered a new switch, see if it sorts it

no luck with new switch. The light symbol on the switch glows untill you turn it on but then the rest of the leds's on the switch dont light up.
