    Hi,
My daughter has a 2016 TT purchased last year with 16000 miles. New front tyres needed for upcoming MOT so I sourced some Hankook K120 Ventus V12 Evo 2 Hankook K 120 - 245/40 R18 97Y XL FR TL
    to replace the existing 245/40 R18 93Y.
Anyone know if these are a good replacement as they differ slightly 97Y not 93Y
I queried with Camskill and they said to fit genuine Audi and supplied a list of others all £30.00 dearer
Also do Audi still match tyre prices?
    Thanks.

Are you putting the new tyres on the back and moving the rears to the front?

Not putting on rear. New tread needed on front as rears are very good.

OK mate thought I'd ask as I put 2 new tyres on the front of my A5 in October, everyone was telling me to move them around as I'd lose grip on the back and spin when cornering! However, apparently as long as the rears still have more than half of the mm the fronts have it will be fine!
My rears were on 5mm and the new fronts are 7-8mm. I was glad he didn't switch them around as the car goes back in September, so I didn't want to have to buy another pair of tyres just before it goes....the original fronts went from 8mm to 2mm in under 7,000 mile/2 years! So 3mm per year, so on that basis if he had switched them around I'd be on 2mm when handing the car back.....cutting it a bit close lol.
