handbrake tension

i used to have a golf and there was a little bolt behind handbrake when you took out the rear ashtray. you would tighten that to sort the handbrake tension. cant seem to find an obvious bolt for tightening the handbrake. anybody got any ideas?

Hi mate there isnt one! there is automatic system but do not ask me how to adjust it cos I have no idea.But if anybody know how share PLS!!! (ive got the Haynes manual but Im not able to get it working)
