Hi, today I bought a ‘04 plate 3.0 tdi Quattro A6 Saloon (auto)
Bought it knowing it needs a fair amount of tlc inside and out, just under 80k miles with fsh.
Soon as I got back I’ve started pulling out the aftermarket reverse camera+screen wiring, then tried to figure out how to turn the dead stereo on…
Wiring for the camera is coming out easy, but if anyone has a picture of the wiring under the steering wheel as it should be that could be a huge help
Also looking to get the stereo working, urgently
Currently the display is totally blank, no lights on startup and doesn’t respond to the 3 button hard reset, codes being cleared or and combo of pressing the power button.
Through clearing codes I now have a lit dashboard (before cleaning codes the dials wouldn’t illuminate except for after pressing the engine stop button when parked. Now they seem to work perfectly?…
Any advise on maintenance/upgrades etc would be massively appreciated
