ive noticed that recently ive been getting a grinding noise only when steering left round a corner, as far as i know it doesnt do it when stationary just when the wheels are in motion, ill have to have another check to be 100% tho.

any ideas???

I had the same symptoms. Turned out to be the CV joint, probably worth a look

95% cv joint - cheap fix - might as well do them both (left and right)

cheers guys... dya rekon there easy to replace yourself or is it a garage job

you could do it yourself - but tracking MAY need to be done after which you wont be able to do..... i'd do it yourself and get the tracking done if you feel it;s out afterwards

do you feel the grinding through the steering wheel?

no you cant feel anything really its just the noise, sounds like to peices of steel rubbing together or sumat like that, like when something needs oiling if you get me

usually with a CV joint you'd get some kind of feel through the steering wheel - it could be the brake shield rubbing on the discs....

just get the car up in the air and have a look

Ok buddy thanks for the info I'll have a good check over the weekend
