Hi I have a small issue with the grill centre bolt that as stripped, I knew I would have issues with this one when I so the rust so I put some plus gas release oil on yesterday and today I tried to remove it no luck as the whole piece was spinning tried locking it with the grips and it won't budge, easy way is to drill head off but not sure I would then get it out as it looks like it screws in to something fixed, any one come across this issue and any solution. Thanks
Hi, i have that option also going to try and grind a slot in for a flat head ..I was just concerened about not being able to get the thread out in order to replace with another bolt
Had the same problem a few weeks ago. Just ground the top off and left the thread in. Bumper won’t go anywhere the 2 bolts either side will hold it in place
Hi managed to get the bolt out in preparation for when I actually do the job,I used a 1mm grinding disc to cut a slot for a wide blade flat screwdriver with mole grips locked on the piece it screws in to ,it worked hope it helps anyone else who might have same problem
I also had this issue. The bolt had completely seized. Nothing worked, and I eventually had to take it to the local garage, where they welded a nut on top of it, and made a right old mess of the surrounding areas of the grill! (Not their fault; it really was the only way to be able to remove the bumper.)
Hi Jay drilling it out would have worked. btw you can’t be 250hp with everything stock with at stage 1 remap like the signature says
