Yeah pretty much mate and the original purchase price to what I got it for is a massive saving for a car only doing 245 miles

You will constantly be hassled by other goubo1 car owners, wanting a race. Like you did to other rs3 owners in your s3.

Thanks mate I couldn’t believe it when it came up at such low mileage

Just hit 1k miles today at work

When the warranty runs out fancy doing some tinkering on it ?

Well managed to get the car dropped into my mates work for the new oil cooler to be fitted

New front discs and pads I went for oem r32 discs as had trouble with the mtec discs again @Prawn I think is on the money when he he was saying about how these discs are put together and the aluminum bell and steel discs expanding at different rates.....I’ve went for rs14 pads ment to be as good as the rs29 pads until they get very warm like they would on track but work a tad better from cold so good compromise for the road so hope they work like I hope

Also new coil pack look getting spliced in and try get the exhaust moved a bit as seems to have relaxed and just slightly touching something

Will be good to get the old girl out a nice drive again soon

Could you do me a massive favour I started rebuilding mine but didn’t pay attention to the different pistons on one side the pistons have a deeper centre bore than the other side but I don’t know which go on what side

Some pics I took that I found rather cool of the frost on the car

Then this one that if you know then you know and if you don’t it becomes apparent rather fast lol

Because I hadn’t drive the car for a while I had the tablet with me with torque app on just to look at coolant afr just to make sure things seem ok was in my lowest boost map and gave it a little squirt and seen the gauge going higher than I thought it should so backed off got home parked it up..next day went to have a look and see the number of the n75 valve to order a new one as I thought it was that but then I seen this

6fc766f2a89af9e4d52c2c159cfad0db.jpg

So trimmed the hose put it back on and made a note of this as one of the things to go on my regular checklist

e3b8dc0b0f7fec21e3bca3b169ffcaa9.jpg

Also gave the catch can a drain and took it back out and correct boost is back again...going to try get it into my mate who cleans cars to get the engine bay a little clean up

Nice to drive the old girl after driving a more modern car for a while

Good spot on the boost pipe.

Do you have lines to the top and bottom of your wastegate or just the bottom?

Made 602bhp 472ftlbs similar power to before on slightly less boost

Map 1 its 463bhp 367ftlbs
Map 2 its 543bhp 432ftlbs
Map 3 its 602bhp 472ftlbs

On the road I haven't had it above map 1 but map one is very nice on the road just feels nice

Had the car out over the weekend giving it some use rather than just toddling about

Not posted in a loooooong time

The car sat idle for a while with price of fuel etc and running my mucj more economical 1.6tdi caddy van

The car has been back in use now for few weeks getting the odd run here and there (still not been in high boost)

The car needed some bits done that has been put off for a while due to it getting parked up
2 new rear calipers discs and pads
2 tack rod ends
4 new eagle f1 tyres

When you are sat looking out the window at the car having a Costa coffee after going for a Sunday morning hoon in mexico

Costa just outside Stevenston by any chance? Can only be a matter of time before they stick some cameras along the A78!

First time I’ve seen this thread pop up, impressive build!

You must have watched fast and furious, drift... camera's cannot get the second picture ;
