Great thread this is! Thanks for all the informative info on here, I hope to get my S4 built up like yours is - but over a few years - not weeks!!
Thanks Simon.. I cant take credit for those lol these are the pro shots that I've bought and paid forGreat pics
Thanks Eric - I have to admit... normally this amount of modding would have taken me years, but I've gone a tad overboard this last 12 months.Great thread this is! Thanks for all the informative info on here, I hope to get my S4 built up like yours is - but over a few years - not weeks!!
Love them! I ran the older PS4s on my stage 2 Tiguan for years, and did many track days and they were great.. But for the heavier S4 wagon i wanted to try the PS4Ss and i have zero complaints. They are pretty quiet, warm up quick, good in all weather, and reasonably priced. How do you find the MPS4's? I'm heading away from Eagle 5 as the price has gone stupid.

If doing a lot of track action (like i have), the sidewall has scrubbed off pretty quick.. but thats my fault for lobbing round such a heavy barge on twisty circuits, and i dont suppose any other tyre would do any different.
In the interest of science i may try the new PS5s next time round, as ive heard good things about them too..
And before anyone calls me a MPS fanboy.. ive also tried Toyo's, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asys, Dunlop Sportmaxxs, and Pirelli Pzeros. and whilst some are better at one thing.. in my opinion they dont compare across the board.
Hope that helps.. i'll now hop off my soapbox

I have - altho i think Mrs Goose would kill me if i stack up yet more car parts in the garage... i dismantled my Karmann Ghia several years ago into a thousand pieces to start a nut and bolt restoration, then we moved house.. then started house renovations, and now i cant find anything in the garage :/Had you considered a second set of rims fitted with semi slicks? Like affordable Nankang AR-1s... Wondering if that might be more cost effective in the long run...
Great watching your build! Keen to here your thoughts on the breathing upgrades!
Cheers
Ben
half way through full resto, then moving house = stuff of nightmaresI have - altho i think Mrs Goose would kill me if i stack up yet more car parts in the garage... i dismantled my Karmann Ghia several years ago into a thousand pieces to start a nut and bolt restoration, then we moved house.. then started house renovations, and now i cant find anything in the garage :/
I used to have a set of 19" BBS CH-Rs for my old mk4 R32 Golf... wish I'd kept them (not that they'd fit the S4).
If i did anything i'd drop to 18", and opt for lightweight race rims like a TD 1.2, or OZ...

Be very interested to know what you think about the scorpion exhaust!Black Friday goodies ordered... Scorpion exhaust and an 034 Motorsport x34 Carbon intake.

Hi AJ,Hey @g00se loving the build, what do you think of the scorpion half system?
I have the zaustworx rear silencer delete pipes fitted on mine (was on when I bought it) but they drone quite a bit
Wondering what you make of the Scorpion half system.?

To entertain us with this thread?HAHAHA why do i put myself thru it![]()
Popped over to see Jeff at Pipewerx in Ormskirk and got the backbox tips extended, so they sit flush... am much happier with the look of the diffuser and exhaust now.
Am now considering front splitter options and maybe a rear spoiler lip... mostly because im still sulking that my 034 intake still isnt here LOL
